About the Candidate
Mark Ellerbusch was raised in Marshall County and is a proud graduate of Warren/Alvarado/Oslo High School, class of 2001. He has spent his entire career serving this community and building trust between law enforcement and the people of Marshall County.
With 13 years of law enforcement experience, Mark has served as 911 Coordinator, Office Manager, Jail Administrator, and Investigator — handling fraud, theft, assault, criminal sexual conduct, and two murder investigations. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2020.
Mark holds an A.S. in Law Enforcement, a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, and a Master's degree in Criminal Justice Leadership. He has been married for 20 years and has four children. He and his wife are both proud WAO graduates.

With 8 years investigating fraud, theft, assault, criminal sexual conduct, and two murder cases, Mark brings the experience and dedication needed to protect and support every victim in Marshall County.
Throughout his career Mark has worked to strengthen the relationship between the Sheriff's Office and the citizens of Marshall County. That trust is something he will protect and grow every day as Sheriff.
